Algebra Tea House
Described as quirky and cool, this eclectic tea house tucked away in Cleveland’s Little Italy offers an escape from the sterile chain coffeehouses that line every street. It specializes in teas and serves an eclectic mix of American and Middle Eastern eats. My strategy was to establish a Middle Eastern feel in order to further differentiate it from other cafés in Little Italy.
Osaka Lighting Convention
The challenge was to create an invitation for the Professional Lighting Design Association’s annual convention which was being held in Osaka, Japan. The main objective was to convince professionals from around the world to attend the event. The brochure enlightened the invitee of the benefits of attending and also advertised various sites in Osaka that wonderfully showcased the use of lighting. To bring familiarity, I replicated the feel of a linen lamp shade for the cover.

The exhibition is presented as quirky, fun and educational. The campaign included branding, print advertising, a promotional mailer and a shopping bag.
The Importance of Educating Girls
A one-minute ad for Oxfam.org that enlightens viewers of the inequalties that plague developing nations, specifically the lack of education for girls. I also stressed the positive effects that can happen when girls receive education.
Marge's Pooch Parlor
Marge's Pooch Parlor can be described as a high-end pet grooming and boarding service that caters to each pet's special needs. With over 15 years of pet grooming experience Marge interviews you and your pet to ensure the most personalized care. My goal was to create a mark that elicits the lavishness of Marge's while still showing the personalities that pets may embody.
My Head Is Not a Perch
An untraditional book recounting a trip taken. I created a set of 15 flashcards that depicted a walk to school when I was in kindergarten. On this particular day an evil baby robin jumped on my head. Based on a true story. I wrote the story with the intention of entertaining children as well as the adults reading the story.
Biomethane Generation Poster
The objective of this poster was to inform of the process of anaerobic digestion and advocate its use. Instead of illustrating the generation process itself, I focused on the potential impact of using the process. Currently in the U.S., this method of clean energy production is used primarily in agriculture, therefore, I showed the large quantity of resources that we have at our disposal. In my research I found that the total agricultural waste supply in the U.S. can provide our country with enough clean energy for over half a year.
NPR Health Care For All Mini Site
National Public Radio conducted a study comparing the United States’ health care system to the health care systems of five countries in Europe, all of which have universal health care. The study was published on a mini site linked from their main site. The objective was to redesign NPR’s mini site to present its findings more interactively with users. The redesign allowed users to do side-by-side comparisons with each country and also participate in user pollings. Information was also organized visually in graphs to effectively portray differences. Click on images to go to semi-functioning site.
